Designed and built in Britain Avian Gliders have developed a reputation for user friendly gliders especially when it comes to handling and weight.  Steve Elkins the owner has been in Hang Gliding longer than he cares to remember and has a wealth of experience which is reflected in the gliders he produces. Being a home grown product spares and service is excellent and Steve himself normally available to give his personal advise if needed. 

Avians reputation was built around  intermediate and sports gliders and this is still reflected in the Rio "intermediate" and Java "Sports" gliders (both of which have proved ideal for power). However they have very successfully taken on the major names at competition level with the Java Comp and Cheetah "performance/competition" wings.
